The first press conference was held at the Great Hall of the People on Sep 26th 2007. At the press conference the organizer released the progress of the preparations for the WMSG and information of the market development. The Minister of the General Administration of Sport of China(GASC) Mr. Liu Peng and the President of the International Mind Sports Association(IMSA) Mr. Jose Damiani attended the press conference.
